On 21st January, we will be watching a video about tropical fish care.
Ivan Dibble, a long standing club member, passed away a few days ago. He was the founder of the Project Fish Ark in Mexico, which is a conservation of all fish, mainly Goodieds and other livebearers. The club would like to express there condolence to his Family at this sad time.
On December 17th, we will be holding our anual American supper.
We would like to welcome Gill Joslin to the BTFC committee, following the AGM.

Our annual general meeting will take place on Novembert 19th, all members should attend to help us elect the committee for next year.
On 15th October, we will be watching a DVD about 101 tropical freshwater fish as our planned speaker has unfortunately had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances.

July's Photo Competition has come to a late end with Jos as the winner with this Oscar:
On 17th September, Paddy Davies, our very own club member, will give up a talk on fishes of Cuba, I'm sure we will find this very interesting and it would be nice to have a good turn out in support of his first talk.
On 20th August, we will be hearing from Dick Mills, the FBAS presidents, about this year's Aquarama from Singapore. Please note that the meeting will be held at Parkers Aquatic and Garden Centre, Wotton Rd, Iron Acton, Bristol, Avon, BS37 9XA
On 16th July, our meeting will be an "Open evening and members night": we will be accessing the internet on fish related topics, led by Jos and other members. For those of you who haven't seen the club website here's your chance, there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions on this subject. I hope you will all try to make this a success, see you there.

David Price is 58, married and with a daughter Rith. Born and brought up in Old Trafford, Manchester, he is now exiled in Plymouth where he works as a lecturer in Genetics in the School of Piological Schiences in Plymouth...

This month's talk is on Snakeheads by a very successful breeder Ulrich Alsfasser, if snakeheads are not your palette, don't despair as this talk is very interesting.
We will also be holding a table show, please bring along any fish your considering showing at this year show, we are here to guide you and give you advice and help.

On 19th March, Roy Davies will be talking on keeping and breeding Barbs. Roy also shows fish as well as being Chairman of Port Talbot Aquarist Fish Club, and is travelling a long way to give us this talk on a very interesting subject.
On 19th Febuary, Chris Cheswright will join us for a talk on Killiefish, this is a speaker who's going to travel over one hundred and twenty miles to give us a talk on this very hard to find subject, please come along and support our speaker, this will be a very interesting subject and I'm sure we will all enjoy. Chris is Chairman of the B.L.A, F.B.A.S. and an A class judge as well as being active member of Southend Leigh and district aquarist aquarium club.
